The Alhambra Linea Profesional Cedar Top Classical Guitar is absolutely the best Spanish guitar in its price range. It has superb volume and projection, with strong basses and clear trebles. Due to an innovative bracing pattern, it has better clarity and projection than most cedar top guitars. (Click here to hear the pronunciation of "Alhambra".)
With deluxe features, solid-top construction and enormous performance features including a surprisingly remarkable projection and clarity, the Linea Profesional is a classical guitar that is designed to bring your music center stage. This guitar will always be ready for the demands of any performance situation. The Linea Profesional is available in solid cedar top with rosewood back and sides that produce warmness, richness, clarity, and perfection to any musical piece. The neck is constructed by the Alhambra luthiers to satisfy the demands of any player; it offers great feel and playability. In addition, this guitar presents excellent traits expected from any Alhambra guitar that include beautiful hand-made rosette, bone nut and bridge saddle, and very elegant tuners.
Alhambra includes an extra saddle with this guitar. It is a taller saddle, giving you the option to adjust the action height but still keep the original saddle as a backup.
The Alhambra Linea Profesional features Alhambra's ErgoNeck. The ErgoNeck is the result of the continuous research developed by Alhambra Manufactures to improve the ergonomics of the neck. Thus, we can favor the position of the left hand. Due to its asymmetric shape, the ErgoNeck can be adapted in a more natural way to the guitarist. (See illustration above.)
IMPORTANT: This guitar features a 12-hole bridge. This design puts the strings at a higher angle relative to the saddle, allowing a greater transfer of energy into the top of the guitar at the saddle. This gives this guitar extra volume and resonance. It is very important that the strings are tied properly to prevent slipping. For instructions on how to tie the strings, please see the video below:
Top: Solid Red Canadian Cedar - (German spruce top available)
Back/Sides: Solid Indian Rosewood
Neck: Spanish Cedar with Ebony Reinforcement
Saddle & Nut: Bone (Extra saddle included)
Tuning Machines: Schaller (Made in Germany)
Finish (top): Nitrocellulose Lacquer (allows the top to resonate freely)
Finish (back & sides): Polyurethane (provides improved durability)
Made in Spain
There is an easier way to tie the knot in the following video, but the little holes in that guitar are different, so when she mentions which one to put it in first, just do the opposite. The summary of that is that the string should be coming out of the lowest hole on it's way toward the headstock: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_DU2FoVhnEA&t=11s
Recommended Strings: This guitar comes with D'Addario EXP44 Extra Hard Tension strings installed. These are not bad strings, but don't allow the guitar to live up to its full potential. I recommend the following strings for this guitar:

This is a wonderful guitar. I've been playing a Cordoba C7 for the last few years, and it cannot match the Linea Profesional for volume, balance, or tone. The Alhambra's voice and build quality compare favorably in side-by-side tests with the luthier-made instruments my friends and fellow students play. I could not be happier with the guitar.
Geoff was a genuine pleasure to work with. When the time comes, I will definitely buy my next instrument from XGuitars.
Beautiful workmanship. Warm, bold sound. Great feel and action. I love everything about it. Also, Geoff and his crew are the best guys around. Very responsive and attentive. And the guitar arrived two days early. I'll be back! Thanks, Geoff.
I’ve spent a month with this guitar so far and I absolutely love it. The humidifier case was a wonderful upgrade. My experience with XGuitar store was fabulous.
Recently, I had rediscovered my love of classical guitar. I had been playing on a Martin hybrid, which was somewhat unsatisfying, so I decided to add a classical guitar. I knew that I wanted rosewood with a cedar soundboard, other than that, I was open. I had been eyeing a Cordoba Friederich, but the more that I read, the more weary I became of Chinese made guitars. I reached out to XGutars and Geoff suggested that I might want to consider an Alhambra which is made in Spain. I took my time, and decided on a Linea Professional with the cedar top. Normally, I would have played one a few times, you know, and compared with others, etc., but because of the pandemic and my desire for a quick fix, I bought it without trying it out first. Since it arrived, I can't put it down, and when I do, I miss the damn thing. The sound is pristine and I couldn't be happier. On a side note, I have come across some who have said that a cedar top sounds "muddy" and that the spruce top is superior ... I guess that I'm just dumb ole guy, because I wouldn't change a thing about my new guitar. I simply love it. Thank's Geoff.
I felt very comfortable working with Geoff in order to select a guitar that would last me a very long time. The XGuitar store is full of amazing sounding guitars. I appreciated the sound samples as well as the immediate response I received from Geoff. He is super knowledgeable about the guitars and when the guitar arrived it had been packed to ship in pristine order. The Linea Pro Cedar top is just screaming with overtones and has amazing response to picking intensity as well as dynamic change. The fretboard is very generous as well as the string spacing. Chords lay out exactly where you would want them rather than having to adjust to the type of guitar. Superb playability. I will try the Savarez strings next. I would recommend XGuitars to anyone and I’ll be back for a Flamenco axe.
