The Alhambra Linea Profesional Cedar Top Classical Guitar is absolutely the best Spanish guitar in its price range. It has superb volume and projection, with strong basses and clear trebles. With deluxe features, solid-top construction and enormous performance features including a surprisingly remarkable projection and clarity, the Linea Profesional is a classical guitar that is designed to bring your music center stage. This guitar will always be ready for the demands of any performance situation. The Linea Profesional is available in solid cedar top with rosewood back and sides that produce warmness, richness, clarity, and perfection to any musical piece. The neck is constructed by the Alhambra luthiers to satisfy the demands of any player; it offers great feel and playability. In addition, this guitar presents excellent traits expected from any Alhambra guitar that include beautiful hand-made rosette, bone nut and bridge saddle, and very elegant tuners.
Alhambra includes an extra saddle with this guitar. It is a taller saddle, giving you the option to adjust the action height but still keep the original saddle as a backup.
The Alhambra Linea Profesional features Alhambra's ErgoNeck. The ErgoNeck is the result of the continuous research developed by Alhambra Manufactures to improve the ergonomics of the neck. Thus, we can favor the position of the left hand. Due to its asymmetric shape, the ErgoNeck can be adapted in a more natural way to the guitarist. (See illustration above.)

IMPORTANT: This guitar features a 12-hole bridge. This design puts the strings at a higher angle relative to the saddle, allowing a greater transfer of energy into the top of the guitar at the saddle. This gives this guitar extra volume and resonance. It is very important that the strings are tied properly to prevent slipping. For instructions on how to tie the strings, please see the video below:
Recommended Strings: This guitar comes with D'Addario XTC44 Extra Hard Tension strings installed. These are not bad strings, but don't allow the guitar to live up to its full potential. I recommend the following strings for this guitar:
Carbon: My favorite strings of all I've tried are Savarez Alliance set 540J. These strings provide great volume and resonance. Being Carbon, they are a bit thinner in diameter than nylon strings. The tone is brighter and not as mellow as nylon strings. If you want a softer sound, nylon may suit you better.
Nylon: For nylon strings, I really like Savarez Corum New Cristal set 500CJ strings. They provide a nice round tone, good volume, and a comfortable feel.

This guitar is truly wonderful. I highly recommend it. It is very balanced and a pleasure to play. Geoff answersed all my questions and really helped in making the selection. The Ergo Neck is very comfortable and easy on the hands. It is also an amazingly beautiful instrument. I changed out the strings to the recommend Savage strings. They are also great. Geoff was right
Geoff wrote that this was the best classical guitar in its price range. It is certainly the best guitar that I have owned. Before this I had only owned Cordoba. I love the ErgoNeck. The tuners seem a bit tight. It does not seem possible to adjust smoothly. Sort of goes in lurches. But I suspect that will loosen up with use. Better tight than loose. As always Geoff is a pleasure to do business with. I would not buy a quality guitar anywhere else. Overall I am very pleased.
