Every guitar is given a thorough 18-point check including playing through every note, checking intonation, adjusting saddle & nut heights, checking neck relief, fret ends, tuners, finish, and more. You can rest assured that your guitar will be flawless or we'll replace it or refund it and cover all shipping charges. Also, unlike any of the large stores, all of our guitars are kept in a climate controlled room at 50% humidity so you don't have to worry about sharp frets, dried out fretboards, or hidden cracks in your guitar.
Fits guitar body thicknesses between 3" and 4.625" (4 and 5/8")
The Abel Armrest (Armauflage) is imported from Germany. It is extremely comfortable and ergonomic for playing the guitar.
Installation is easy with the adjustment screw. The rest has felt mounting pads so you don't have to worry about damage or scratches to your guitar. It really changes the comfort level dramatically both for traditional classical positions and more relaxed acoustic positions. For travel, it can fit in most cases and gig bags. When playing, it practically hides itself under your arm and is not distracting at all to the viewer. The tone is not affected much at all as it attaches to the corners of the lower bout on the guitar. If fact, we believe it enhances the tone as your arm is not resting or damping the guitar top and sides. In addition, we have had a customer applaud the armrest as it elevates his arm enough that his nerve above in his shoulder does not get pinched, allowing him to play longer without any pain.
Although designed for right handed guitars, we have tested on left handed guitars and the Abel Armrest suits very nicely.
Note: The armrest is a nice looking black plastic and comes with a set of large rubber pads. If the position you place the armrest does not hold tight on all three corners, you may have to use one or both large pads for best fit.

The armrest is comfortable and it makes playing my guitar much more enjoyable.
I purchased the Andreas Abel Armauflage Armrest to mitigate the pinched nerve problems of having my left (picking/strumming) arm over the right-angle edge of the guitar body. I would have to say that this armrest takes care of most of the problem. Very comfortable. I can now play lengthy periods without having to stop and shake tingle out of my arm and restore feeling. I have successfully mounted the Armrest on my 40-yr-old Fender F-85, my Ibanez Alt30 Altstar and most recently my Alvarez Yairi DYM70CE, pretty much spanning most average-size dreadnaught-style acoustics. A word of caution - While the arm rest does rest/mount to the guitar using soft mounting points, one must be careful not to 'slip' and allow the armrest to fall onto the guitar. The plastic surfaces are rigid and are certainly capable of scratching or dinging the wood, especially on all-wood models. As many have said, the price point of the armrest needs to come down. Fortunately, this model cost $75.85 plus shipping. Others are ten dollars higher. Perhaps it's the boutique uniqueness of the item and sales volume is low. That said, the price point of the Armauflage would seem to need to come down at least twenty dollars. All-in-all it's a great product, and I'm happy with the purchase.
My guitar instructor recommended this. The armrest is comfortable, easy to attach, and looks great! I have a longer arm and this pro it helps relieve the pressure off my inner forearm. I highly recommended this as well.
