$3,999.00 $3,299.00

Torija" by Federico Moreno Torroba (Guitarist: David Stevenson) ©XGuitars Inc.

The Alhambra Linea Profesional Spruce Top Classical Guitar is absolutely the best Spanish guitar in its price range. It has superb volume and projection, with strong basses and clear trebles. Due to an innovative bracing pattern, it has a warmer tone than most spruce top guitars, while not sacrificing clarity. (Click here to hear the pronunciation of "Alhambra".)

With deluxe features, solid-top construction and enormous performance features including a surprisingly remarkable projection and clarity, the Linea Profesional is a classical guitar that is designed to bring your music center stage. This guitar will always be ready for the demands of any performance situation. The Linea Profesional is available in solid cedar top with rosewood back and sides that produce warmness, richness, clarity, and perfection to any musical piece. The neck is constructed by the Alhambra luthiers to satisfy the demands of any player; it offers great feel and playability. In addition, this guitar presents excellent traits expected from any Alhambra guitar that include beautiful hand-made rosette, bone nut and bridge saddle, and very elegant tuners.

Alhambra includes an extra saddle with this guitar. It is a taller saddle, giving you the option to adjust the action height but still keep the original saddle as a backup.

The Alhambra Linea Profesional features Alhambra's ErgoNeck. The ErgoNeck is the result of the continuous research developed by Alhambra Manufactures to improve the ergonomics of the neck. Thus, we can favor the position of the left hand. Due to its asymmetric shape, the ErgoNeck can be adapted in a more natural way to the guitarist. (See illustration above.)

IMPORTANT: This guitar features a 12-hole bridge.  This design puts the strings at a higher angle relative to the saddle, allowing a greater transfer of energy into the top of the guitar at the saddle.  This gives this guitar extra volume and resonance.  It is very important that the strings are tied properly to prevent slipping.  For instructions on how to tie the strings, please see the video below:

Recommended Strings: This guitar comes with D'Addario EXP44 Extra Hard Tension strings installed.  These are not bad strings, but don't allow the guitar to live up to its full potential.  I recommend the following strings for this guitar:

Carbon: My favorite strings of all I've tried are Savarez Alliance set 540J. These strings provide great volume and resonance.  Being Carbon, they are a bit thinner in diameter than nylon strings. The tone is brighter and not as mellow as nylon strings. If you want a softer sound, nylon may suit you better.

Nylon: For nylon strings, I really like Savarez Corum New Cristal set 500CJ stings.  They provide a nice round tone, good volume, and a comfortable feel.

If you would like to have strings installed other than the ones that come with your guitar, you can add the Strings Installation Service to your order.

Excellent Service

When we are buying online, we just hope for the best especially instruments. Well, my Fiance and I can say Xguitars is the best place to buy guitars online. We bought Alhambra LP Spruce top, of course it's an excellent classical guitar, the sound and comfort is incomparable, but this comment is all about Xguitars and Geoffrey. Firstly, Geoffrey packed it in the most care you can imagine, you can see he packed it in the way that he wants his own guitar to be packed, you can tell he must be a guitar player to have that kind of respect for the instrument. Secondly, I ordered this as a wedding to my Fiance and with Geoffrey help, I am able to get this perfect gift, his knowledge about guitar is amazing and his suggestion of Savarez strings is perfect. Lastly, the guitar came in perfect condition, not even a scratch, Geoffrey includied the original strings with his letter, what a beautiful personal touch. This is the best transaction ever and it was all happening because of Geoffrey. Greatly appreciated Geoffrey!!!

Outstanding Instrument

After owning several inexpensive classical guitars over the years I decided to step up. After doing a lot of research I decided to try the Alhambra Pro Linea in Spruce. The guitar has far exceeded my expectations and I have zero disappointments.

Good Volume

After playing a Takamine Jasmine TC30C, for 24 years, I was looking for an upgrade that had good volume without amplification. The sound is smooth, bright, and the action is better than my old guitar as well. The one thing I have to get used to though is not having the cutaway. Also I need fret markers and the Linea does not have them. I will probably apply a few dots of paint like I did with my old guitar.

Great guitar & Great service

This is a long overdue review of this LP spruce I purchased late last year.

I have played classical guitar as a hobbyist for almost 25 years and my old Ramirez had served me quite well for the last 10+ years. However, I thought it is time for an upgrade and after some serious research, I decided that this Alhambra LP is the best choice for me.

Frankly, I was initially somewhat concerned since XGuitars seemed to be the only place where I can get a brand-new LP, leaving me no other choices but it turned out that I did not have to be at all. As most other reviewers mentioned, Geoff is by far one of the best people I met so far. He showed professionalism in every aspect and worked with me to address all my concerns and questions I had throughout the transaction.

Needless to say, the guitar itself is really a beauty and sounds amazing. I thought my old guitars are sounding quite great (actually they are) but after playing this LP for 5 minutes, I felt that I won’t go back to them at least for a while. Especially, the ergo-neck is really comfortable for me since my hands are more on the smaller side.

Geoff recommended replacing the strings with Savarez but I decided to try the default (D’Addario EXP44 EHT) string first before I try that. After about 6 months, I replaced the strings and the Savarez strings indeed sound much brighter and resonate better (I liked D’Addario strings as well, btw). Also, the thinner treble strings made it easier to play especially at higher frets.
Recently, I replaced strings of all my old guitars with Savarez and I got much better sound from all of them. However, I would like to say that this is more of a personal preference and these carbon strings may not be best ones if you prefer mellow sound.

Also, the Humidipak he recommended is really a great solution for the humidity control and I’m buying more sets for my other guitars.

Overall, I enjoyed working with Geoff for my dream guitar and really appreciate his help and recommendations.
Great job, Geoff!!

Happy

I bought the Alhambra Linea. I was ordering the instrument to be shipped 2800 miles away so I was somewhat nervous about the whole transaction. After speaking to Geoffrey (several times), I felt much more confident and because of his information and the high quality pictures on the website, I was able to choose the guitar I wanted, even though it was easier for me to go into San Francisco or even LA to pick out one in person. I am extremely happy about the whole transaction. The guitar arrived in pristine condition. It sounds and plays beautifully. The price is fair and appropriate. My highest recommendation to anyone considering doing business with the company and Geoffrey.
