Ahhh - Much better

Thank you, Geoff, the action is just right. The upgrade to this guitar from my 50 Y.O. Garcia has improved my playing, such as it is. Decades ago I switched from a Selmer to a Buffet R13 clarinet and that experience taught me that it is wise to invest in a very good instrument to improve your playing skills. This Alhambra 10 premier makes me want to play more often and longer. It is a beautifully crafted instrument! It's also good to know XGuitars is available for expert service, if needed.

Alhambra 10 Premier Classical Guitar

I have a couple of excellent classical guitars that I enjoy playing however, the ease of working the neck on the Alhambra is just awesome. Sonically it is outstanding with the Savarez 500CJ strings that Geoff recommended. Projection is very good and the tonality is well, just exquisite! And BTW the service at XGuitars is equally excellent.

Exactly what I wanted for my next guitar

I spent a long time considering my next classical guitar. There are so many options. I have been playing guitar for over 40 years, not all of it classical. I’m not going to be a professional guitarist but I wanted a quality instrument because I love guitar. Aside from getting a luthier built guitar, this Alhambra 10 Premier is fantastic guitar for the price.

It is a beautiful instrument. The dynamic range is amazing. It feels great in the hands. It is well balanced and even smells great. I opted to keep the manufacturer’s strings and they are really good but I will try Geoff’s recommended strings to see if it can be even better.

There aren’t any classical guitar stores close to home where I can go play guitars in person so I was apprehensive about spending this much money on a guitar I had never seen or played. From the great reviews and the return policy, I felt pretty good about buying from XGuitars. Geoff was very helpful and patient. He helped me decide the best guitar for my price range. I will buy from him again! Thanks Geoff!

Impressive guitar

This is a very nice guitar. It has very good balance across the strings, excellent loudness, sustain and it also looks quite premium. Playability is excellent and the wood smell is pleasant. It is definitely a cut above the 8/9p and well worth the extra cost. Mine had a few very tiny "pimples" on the top wood surface finish that I caught by chance, may be an annoyance to someone overly picky. Overall highly recommend.

Excellent Classical Guitar

I very much like my new Alhambra 10 Premier. The Cedar top was my preference, as it projects the warm and balanced sound that I was expecting out of a classical instrument. Spruce, takes longer to 'come into its own' (unless Torrified) than Cedar and is, in my opinion, too bright for this type of guitar.
I already own a Martin with a Spruce top and Indian Rosewood back and sides and there is a profound difference in the sound - body type and strings notwithstanding.
The construction is superb. The wood used is AA+, and guitar is an instrument of beauty. The sound is beautiful, and I hope to do it justice more and more over time. The set by Geoff was perfect. Overall a great guitar!
