The good is that the product kept the suction cups on my U-Bass. The product gave the cups a nice flat, grippy surface. They adhered extremely well. The not-so-good is that, after one week, I removed the product to add a better arm rest. When I peeled off the KlingOn, it removed some finish from instrument. My bass is neither top of the line nor cheap. The manufacturer is well known and the finish was, of course, fully cured. I cannot recommend KlinOn based on my single experience.

I'm very sorry to hear this. Kling-On does claim that they can be removed and reapplied without any trouble. I've updated XGuitars.com with a warning that these can damage your finish.

Great product that protects my guitar from permanent marks created by the suction cups on the guitar support. Good piece of mind.
The Kling-On plastic strips were easy to apply and made it possible to use a suction cup guitar support on my matte finish Loar and Eastman acoustic guitars. I later removed the Kling-On strips on one guitar and there was no damage at all to the finish of that guitar.
