Description

This guitar has been SOLD.

Jose Marin Plazuelo is the nephew of the famous luthier, Antonio Marin Montero, and has recently been gaining quite a bit of fame on his own. He and his uncle share a small workshop in Granada, Spain where they build some of the world's finest guitars.

The workmanship, materials, and attention to details of this guitar are all absolutely exquisite.

The top is German spruce; the back and sides are beautiful Brazilian; fretboard is ebony, neck Spanish cedar.

This guitar sings throughout all registers. Its sound is full, agressive, rich, loud and VERY Spanish; with great sustain. Its basses are defined but have real clout; its trebles are concentrated and lush. Overall, its tone is complex, having tremendous color and nuance.

This guitar's is in excellent condition. Notice, finally, the Sloan Arabesque machines: These are not standard on most of his guitars, but were installed when the guitar was originally built. Clearly, this guitar was built for the serious concert performer.

Top: Spruce
Back/Sides: Brazilian Rosewood
Fingerboard: Ebony
Scale: 650mm
Nut: 52mm
