Description
The 5FP Piñana Negra Flamenco Guitar is born fruit of the collaboration between the flamenco guitarist Carlos Piñana and Alhambra Guitars. Alhambra has introduced some technical specifications that make up a very versatile guitar, with an excellent value for money and with the qualities required by today's flamenco guitarists. (Click here to hear the pronunciation of "Alhambra".)
The model 5FP Piñana is a flamenco guitar called flamenco negra. Instead of cypress for the back and sides it is made of Indian rosewood. This particular model is a special configuration built for XGuitars, featuring a spruce top and a gloss finish. This gives it a more traditional sound than the standard 5FP OP Piñana. Alhambra has created a new bracing design to give the guitar a very flamenco personality. Its sound is round and gives greater versatility for the interpretation of different styles.
The 5FP Piñana model comes with gold machine heads, a comfortable Mahogany neck reinforced with ebony and melamine for the saddle and nut, a highly transmitting material that helps balance the sound. This model has a classy aesthetic, full of special details and a great quality sound.

Excellent Student Flamenco Negra!
I bought the 5FP Piñana Negra Flamenco Guitar in early February, 2024 to complement my cedar top classical guitar, also from Alhambra. I wanted a nice mid priced flamenco which I could use for classical guitar, but has flamenco qualities. This guitar is perfect for my uses. It’s lightweight, balanced, tunes well, uses quality components. And the laminated back & sides gives excellent durability for traveling. If you’re looking for a second guitar, or your first classical/flamenco guitar , it’s an excellent choice in my opinion.
