Every guitar is given a professional setup and a thorough 19-point inspection including playing through every note, adjusting saddle & nut heights, checking neck relief, fret ends, tuning mechanisms, finish, and more. You can rest assured that your guitar will be flawless or we'll replace it or refund it and cover all shipping charges. Also, all guitars at XGuitars are kept at the perfect humidity and temperature to prevent hidden cracks, sharp frets, warped necks, etc.

Fits guitar body thicknesses between 3" and 4.625" (4 and 5/8")

The Abel Armrest (Armauflage) is imported from Germany. It is extremely comfortable and ergonomic for playing the guitar.

Installation is easy with the adjustment screw. The rest has felt mounting pads so you don't have to worry about damage or scratches to your guitar. It really changes the comfort level dramatically both for traditional classical positions and more relaxed acoustic positions. For travel, it can fit in most cases and gig bags. When playing, it practically hides itself under your arm and is not distracting at all to the viewer. The tone is not affected much at all as it attaches to the corners of the lower bout on the guitar. If fact, we believe it enhances the tone as your arm is not resting or damping the guitar top and sides. In addition, we have had a customer applaud the armrest as it elevates his arm enough that his nerve above in his shoulder does not get pinched, allowing him to play longer without any pain.

Although designed for right handed guitars, we have tested on left handed guitars and the Abel Armrest suits very nicely.

Note: The armrest is a nice looking black plastic and comes with a set of large rubber pads. If the position you place the armrest does not hold tight on all three corners, you may have to use one or both large pads for best fit.

Very nice!

I had been thinking about this type of armrest for some time, to use on my Taylor acoustic. Upon the purchase of a nice nylon string I decided to try it. Very easy to attach and works well to keep my arm off the soundboard. And I can use it with my steel string also.
Very nice piece, well constructed.

Helps with technique

This has helped my classical guitar right-hand technique. It lifts my hand so my fingering is more correct. Highly recommeded.

The arm rest was not what I had in mind. Go to There the guitar guy (Bradford Werner) uses a guitar with a thin strip of something over that edge. I did try to contact them but get no reply. Others on the internet do the same. But no ones returns my inquire Please check these players out and give me your finding or advice.
Thank you

<p>Hello, Mr. Hancock.</p>

<p>The guitar that Bradford Werner is using has a strip of wood there over the edge that was likely built on when the guitar was built. Guitar shapes vary greatly, so a piece that long would need to be custom fit to your guitar. Luthier Kris Barnett could possibly create one for you. He's done this before and does beautiful work. You would need to trace the outline of your guitar and send it to him. You can contact him here: <a target='_blank' href=''></a></p>

<p>If you would like to return your arm rest for a refund, please let me know. That would be no problem.</p>
