Savarez strings for my Guitarra Del Tiempo

I have used these strings off and on for many years. Sound great even that pesky G string especially on my Ramirez. I haven't tried the high tensions as of yet but I have no doubt I will be more than pleased. Usually I change every 4 to 6 months but actually they usually show little wear and could probably leave them on longer. You definitely need to wind the b and e trebles 3 or 4 times around the bridge. RG

Flamenco Guitar

I’ve had these strings on my Cordoba F7 Paco Flamenco for about a week now (recommended by Geoff) and I’m loving them thus far. They really bring out the voice of the guitar and the trebles are well balanced with the basses. If they can handle my playing for at least a couple months they’ll become my go-to. Thank you Geoff!

1st strings breaking

I recently wrote a 5-Star review singing my praises for the Savarez HT Classic, which I still believe are the best sounding/playing strings I’ve ever used over the past 40 years. But feel I need to update on the issues I’ve had with the past three sets I strung. All 3 sets’ 1st string broke. Two broke while just tuning (broke before fully tuned) and the other snapped during the night.

I have used these strings for about a year and never had any problems. Now suddenly with the last three sets on the same guitar they all broke similarly - about 3/4” north of the saddle. I can only assume it’s a manufacturing defect. And I found some similar comments on a couple of forums.

It’s quite disenchanting as I love these strings.

The hunt is on for something comparable.

Best Strings I’ve Ever Played

I bought these Savarez 540R Alliance strings upon Geoff Ferdón’s recommendation for a flamenco guitar on the site. And I must say, they are fantastic! Best sounding strings I've had on my flamenco.

I'm not a flamenco player, but rather a jazz/bossa nova player and, for me, flamenco guitars with their slightly higher tension and energy, treble bar and wood choices just sound better for jazz. Crispier, punchier and these Savarez strings just accentuate all of that. Plus they're considerably thinner than nylon, which is nice.

Should come as little surprise, though, since Savarez is probably the longest surviving string manufacturer still in existence (since 1700s!) -- and it shows.

Highly recommend these strings!
