Greg Brandt built this, his 100th guitar, for renowned guitarist Michael Kudirka in 1997. To commemorate this milestone, Greg used master grade German Spruce and his most exquisite Brazilian Rosewood inherited from his mentor's collection, these pieces being harvested approximately 100 years ago. Greg spent additional time and care putting this guitar together and it represents the very height of his craft with beautiful purfling around all the edges. Michael went on to play this instrument at the Portland International Guitar Competition, the USC Concerto Competition, and the American String Teachers Association Guitar Competition, winning 1st prize at each. Michael has played this instrument in cities around the world and it is easy to see why. With Greg's skilled voicing and tonewood selection in combination with Michael's playing, this guitar is one of the best sounding and playing Brandts we have ever encountered.
"Here is a Brandt that sets the standard for what you should expect in a great classical guitar. Voiced by a master luthier; played in by a master guitarist; the silky spruce top and hundred year-old Brazilian body send forth sweet and powerful trebles that settle over the rich, enticing bass. It sings with a liveliness that we always see in Brandt's work, but with a maturity of sound of a much older instrument. An incredible guitar from a wonderful builder." - Paul Heumiller, Dream Guitars
