Recommended Strings: This guitar comes with D'Addario EXP44 Extra Hard Tension strings installed. These are not bad strings, but don't allow the guitar to live up to its full potential. I recommend the following strings for this guitar:
-Geoff Ferdón, owner of XGuitars
@ nut: 1.97 inches (50mm)
@ 5th fret: 2 1/8 inches
@ body: 2 5/16 inches
Nut to body: 12 1/2 inches

I’m very pleased with the 9P Senorita. I like the7/8 size. It doesn’t lack in sound. The resonance is deep, and the volume and sustain of notes is very good, with excellent balance. It’s a beautiful guitar too, with lovely woods, tuners, and rosette colors that seem to match the Christmas season. I’m really glad I made this choice, and with the form-fitting case. The action is set from the factory a little high for my preference, but Geoff is remedying this with a custom saddle and nut that should make it just right. Thank you XGuitars and Geoff! I will continue shopping there.
Had a trip to Spain planned for 2020 to find a guitar, but that was cancelled, and now I'm so pleased to have purchased the` Alhambra Señorita guitar from XGuitars !
I had felt for a while that I would be more comfortable with a slightly smaller instrument. With the Señorita I have more of an embrace with the guitar, plus my emotional feeling for the songs seem to come through easily. So heartwarming.
The fragrance of the solid Red Cedar Top is earthy. The quality of sound , and resonance is wonderful. All notes ring true, and are not lost, There is no compromise with the smaller scale, and is a step up & new chapter in my guitar adventure The base notes are strong & harmonics have good bell tones.
The case was expertly fitted for the Señorita size.
Geoff was wonderful with his thoughtful responses to my questions and concerns. He shipped very soon after my purchase, I was thrilled ! Thank you Geoff !
Definitely recommend XGuitars !
Received my Senorita two weeks ago. I wanted to upgrade from my Cordoba C10 to what should be my last guitar purchase. I had gotten some very helpful advice from Geoff about some full sized guitar options but after playing the Cordoba with a capo on the first fret for a few weeks I decided a shorter scale would suit me better in the long run, developing thumb arthritis and some finger stiffness. Very few quality short scale guitars on the market but on paper the Senorita had the features I wanted: Made in Spain, all solid woods, lacquered cedar top, cedar neck, good reviews, and very pretty - all the good stuff. And it did not disappoint. It looks lovely and sounds lovely. Beautifully made. Clear, clean, piano-like tones and very easy to play. But also very unforgiving which is a good thing. Clean, separated tones make it harder to hide mistakes and sloppiness. This guitar will make me a better player. I also opted for the Alhambra Senorita case: very good fit, very nice, and well worth it. Finally restrung with Savarez high tension strings for a much nicer sound than the originals. Very happy with this guitar and Geoff's fast, helpful service
I have a number of high quality guitars. I needed one to fit my small fingers and shorter harms. This is a perfect fit for me. The sound is very bright and even too happy for my mellow style of Bossa nova playing. Jeff has been instrumental in advising me in how to get the sound to mellow a little. The more I play this new fine guitar, the more I like and enjoy it. It is definitely a 5 star guitar. I am going to play it everyday.
Alhambra guitars are some of the best value instruments available. I've owned 3 of them; still have 2. Three independent guitar teachers have played mine; all of them remarked on the excellent tone, solid construction, and value. I firmly believe a guitar built in Spain is better than a guitar built in China. Having visited Spain several times, their passion for the guitar shows in how they design and build instruments.
I'm small person with small hands. I decided to try a shorter scale model. The difference between a 636 scale and a 650 scale is worth it. Much more comfortable to play. I have a 650 scale 9-P to compare to the 636 scale 9-P; very little difference in volume and sustain. Well worth the change!
From start to finish, working with Geoff was an absolute pleasure. Great advice, excellent service. Should I need another guitar, I have no reason to go elsewhere.
