The Alhambra 5P Classical Guitar is a step up from the 4P model in quality. The ebony bracing in the neck prevents warping, and softwood top is equipped with 7 braces that help improve the resonance of the instrument without sacrificing its lightweight or durability. This bracing includes seven braces and two harmonic bars that contribute to the warm, full-bodied tone. (Click here to hear the pronunciation of "Alhambra".)

For a better sound: Alhambra installed D'Addario EXP44 Extra Hard Tension strings on this guitar. We recommend changing the strings to Savarez Alliance 540J, for better resonance, volume, and sustain. If you would like the strings changed for you, CLICK HERE.

Recommended Strings: This guitar comes with D'Addario EXP44 Extra Hard Tension strings installed. These are not bad strings, but don't allow the guitar to live up to its full potential. I recommend the following strings for this guitar:

Carbon: My favorite strings of all I've tried are Savarez Alliance set 540J. These strings provide great volume and resonance. Being Carbon, they are a bit thinner in diameter than nylon strings. The tone is brighter and not as mellow as nylon strings. If you want a softer sound, nylon may suit you better.

Nylon: For nylon strings, I really like Savarez Corum New Cristal set 500CJ stings. They provide a nice round tone, good volume, and a comfortable feel.

Nice guitar!

The guitar sounds amazing! It's my first expensive classical instrument and I very much enjoy playing it daily.

The Alhambra 5P guitar arrived on time in perfect condition in its excellent case. It is a beautiful instrument with a clear, sweet and very audible sound.
