Description

NOTE: Suction cups do not work well on non-gloss finishes. If your finish is not smooth and shiny, we highly recommend Sagework Magnetic Guitar Supports. ErgoPlay includes adhesive films with this support that will allow suction cups to adhere more securely, but these films can cause serious damage to your guitar finish.

The ErgoPlay Tappert is easily adjustable to fit you and your guitar. The height and angle of the arms can be adjusted and as an improvement on the Professional Model it features adjustable suction cup angles along the plane of the support to help conform to the guitar body. Tabs on the suction cups allow easy removal to prevent damage to the guitar finish.

The Tappert is an improvement to the Professional model by adding the ability to adjust the angle of the suction cups to match the curve of the guitar body. This helps keep the support firmly attached to the guitar. The Tappert requires less width to fit on the guitar and also has a higher maximum position than the professional.

Minimum guitar body depth required: 3.5 inches.

Includes two ErgoPlay Suction Cup Helpers.

Good alternative to foot stool, almost perfect

Over the last 50 years of guitar playing (with 6 years of formal music school training and 2 post graduate degrees later), I yet to find a perfect alternative to the foot stool. Once a lap support device is attached to a classical guitar, it inevitably limits the on-lap movement and angle of play to both hands. I surmise that some degree of adjustment is required in order to get used to it; but it's the nature of the beast that is inherently in all on-lap supports. Ergoplay is probably the best I've found so far. It has good height and angle adjustments. The suction cups work well albeit the extra effort of putting them on and off before playing; and it has be to done with some degree of care if you care about the guitar finish on a $20K plus instrument. It adds a noticeable amount of extra weight, hence the balance of instrument. It does allow a better sitting position and alleviates hip and back fatigue. I wonder if a support that could sit on both laps will work better ; that allows the right hip not having to pronate outward to accommodate the lower bout to sit between the laps. So far, the Ergoplay Tappert is as good an alternative as it gets.

Ergo play trappart guitar support.
I had 4 days to practice before first gig with it last nite. 2 hours…no issues.
Took my footstool just in case but did not even think about it.
Wish I had got one 45 years ago!

Ergoplay Tappert

I have several guitar supports; none worked well for me until I got the Ergoplay Tappert! It is my understanding that if you are not tall (i.e. 5'5 or taller, the other supports may not be adjustable so that the head of the guitar is not overly high.
I am now able to sit comfortably in my chair without a footstool and can play for a long time without discomfort to my back and I have perfect visualization of the fretboard! How nice is that! It is great! So happy about my discovery!

Great device

The brace provides stability and comfort. As a senior player—I’m 71—the brace has relieved the discomfort of extended playing by eliminating the raised foot, allowing the hips to remain level. The brace also helps with holding an upright posture, thereby alleviating back discomfort. The brace is solidly constructed with quality materials; the design permits easy adjustment, for height and cant, to fit your preferred position. I’m very satisfied with the brace and glad to have it.
